We suddenly went from a basement team to a playoff contender breh. Within 2 years we went from a basement team to a team that I feel will be contending for a title next season. It's all about management which is what I told @tremonthustler1 months ago. If your team's management is smart your team will thrive regardless of market. The Orlando Magic were smarter than the Lakers, Nuggets and 76ers which is why they came out on top of the Howard/Bynum/Iggy trade. If the Lakers were smart as Orlando they would've moved Bynum for Vucevic knowing then what we know now.

And Portland's management would've picked MJ over Sam Bowie?

And the Red Sox wouldn't have traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees?

And the Patriots would've passed on Aaron Hernandez completely?

And the Celtics wouldn't have picked Len Bias no. 1?

And it goes on and on and on and on . . .

Miami isn't a big market really you realize that right ?? But anyway the heat most likely won't break up though unless they fall apart this season . If they get to another finals you think they'll break up ? And al Jefferson isn't a superstar so my point stands . When it comes down to it a big market team will pay the tax for a championship caliber team and apparently small market teams won't ... The NBA can't fix that without a hard tax

In basketball terms now I would say MIA is included with the big market teams. MIA might or might not decide to break them big 3 up, but because of the added tax penalties from the new CBA its a decision them or other big market teams have to make that they wouldn't have before. I doubt Cuban will have a team salary near $100 mil like before. Plus the other restrictions such as a small midlevel exception and sign and trade on luxury tax teams prevents them somewhat from adding pieces than before. Not saying that big market teams don't still have an advantage, but the other teams are able to sign players that might have just jumped onto the big teams

They'll take a playoff berth. It's like college basketball in a way. You got your teams that only wanna win titles and the teams that are happy to just be in the dance.

My team inherently won't ever win a title, but at the same time, just make the playoffs and go from there and see what happens. Now I think we have our franchise guy, so there's that, but tanking for the next guy won't keep anyone around. Take what you have and just get better. This won't end in a title, but I also won't give a damn if the team spends another 9 years out of the playoffs until they hopefully find someone who will stay. If a team can't compete in that way get rid of them.
