The weed game is so dead. A few months ago I walked into an old teamo/tobacco shop on White Plains Road in the Bronx. All I wanted was flint for my raw lighter. Instead of the OG Black man that I knew that store for. There was a vecenarian mulatto Islamic, behind the counter. Dude didn't know what flint was. Despite having a plethora of Raw products on display. Upon seeing the dismay on my face he attempts to appease me by announcing he sells weed. At which point I look at him with utter disgust and inform him there is a dispensery up the block.
is it a zippo? cos i saw they have raw zippos too. for some reason they sell flints next to the candy bars at walmart

i live in the suburbs though :mjpls:

i would think youd be able to find a flint in new york lol

i feel you on the cashier dumbassery though. when i go to the dispensary its like that. they tried to push amanita muscaria gummies on me. they didnt even know what they were. how are you around this shyt all day, SELLING it to people i might add, and youre completely unfamiliar with it? you spend eight hours a day with this shyt and dont know what it is?

amanita looks like the shrooms out of mario bros. and they make you trip.. in a not so fun way :demonic:

sounds like fun right??

you might get an eye roll back from the cashier... meanwhile they sold 2 packs to the guy before you, and hes chewing them up in his honda civic, throwing the wrapper out the window and merging onto the highway

society is broken, nobody cares lol. i dont really like my job either, but some people just dont give a fukk anymore. shyt, one of them is president :lupe:

sorry for the rant lol. i hope you fix your lighter :salute:

Killed what? Brain cells.

Wee game never dead. That bullshyt people on today is not the weed game. It's still alive and well. Authorized growers up here feed the streets and the dispensaries. Nothing changed.
I agree if you know how to grow you can win today, but if you just a weed man copping P's from any ole plug out here you most likely getting pgr bullshyt

I can teach u to fish..everybody i mentored dropped thier plug and booming thier own shyt. The technique is perpetual harvest. 8 week rotation and you'll never run out of weed. I'm down to my last ten zips but in week 5 of flower on my other shyt. Before I can finish those 10 I'll be harvesting another 10 or 16 oz.
How many plants?

Muurs of Muu.
:dahell: that's just bad customer service what does it have to do with the weed game in general?

In NYC you can go to a dispensary and show ID that your are over 21 and buy top shelf weed. So I don't buy that dirt weed from random dudes.

I use to sell grams for a dub in my era :wow:

don't even get me started on the zip prices :ohlawd:

The “can I get 2 for the $15? I need to cop a swisher and hit up the dollar menu after man.”

:unimpressed:

Zones going for 325 was a hookup. Now you can get them for $90 at some dispensaries

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
As a weed connoisseur and a nikka that have plugged nikkas on here with zips of real exotic shyt, a lot of these growers are getting seeds that ain't the advertised strain. There is no fukking reason that a batch of Gary Payton or Lemon Cherry Gelato should smell like fuel/gas. Them bytches should be fruits and berries ONLY.

Its either false seeds or the dispos are just using popular names to sell off generic ass weed. Idgaf about the THC % of a strain, I just want the strain to smell like it's supposed to. Some people shop for THC % and that shyt is dumb as hell to me.

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
seems to be thriving to me

iykyk
I'm over 6 years out now but it doesn't feel the same, and it was starting to feel different towards the end of my time in.

I imagine the mf's really eating well are people who grow it or those who can cop loads from growers----these levels always existed, but they weren't the only people who could eat. The space for mid level dealers or small time sellers is pretty much squeezed dry....at least thats how it seems from outside looking in.

I was 15 when I started selling weed in '04 and from that point thru the next decade, give or take, you could still run it up as a mid-level dealer. At my peak I was getting pounds of different strains/exotic, from different sources, for like $500, and bringing them out east (NY, VA, NC, GA) where I could quintuple my investment if I wanted. But I was able to offer nikkas prices well below street value out east, where even thru the mid-2010s you could get pounds of some shyt off for up to $3k.

I noticed the game changing around the mid-10s or so, East Coast started becoming saturated with "plugs" from elsewhere, and more people got into growing their own shyt. Specifically the places I was at, was running into people who had connects from Cali or Florida or Canada, and everybody claiming they could get the shyt cheaper from another guy. Alot if that was gamesmanship, I remember being among the first guys in multiple areas, having weed at $2k, $2200, etc. I always had the low, so when all these other mf's came saying they boy from _____ had it lower, that was a shift....it definitely wasn't always alot if cats tied in with nikkas with real weight.

Also mid-10s brought in that stupid packaging shyt, got damn that shyt annoyed me. Slapping shyt in video game boxes or candy bags, created a different kinda aesthetic and tricked buyers into some shyt it wasn't. I remember 2016 was like the first time somebody told me that if my shyt wasnt in one of them silly packages/boxes, it wasnt real fire 😂

California, Florida, Texas, Canadian nikkas gotta take responsibility for some of this, because a point came that mad nikkas heard it was sweet out east, so nikkas started selling dirt shyt that they could get off like it was top shelf out east. It was all correlated with how the profit margins shrunk and the quality of weed declined.

Also people out east in some cases started treating weed like a hardcore drug and robbing and shooting nikkas for it, that wasn't always the case either...

I had some really good times and I had a good run. I was never a grower, never cared about that, but growers always ate. For a stretch I had this Asian father/daughter duo who lived off Marysville Blvd, when I bopped thru the city I'd stop by and get hooked up and ship out east. Had relationships with a handful of growers over time too. The growers always ate, but the fun times in this shyt was having access to different growers and knowing you could kill out east without even charging full price.

You're probably right that its still thriving, I'm out the loop. But I can't imagine that profit margins are what they were, you used to be able to run it up like a mf with ease. Good fukking times!

First of all, the weed game will never die because it’s a vice and the vice industry is recession proof. It can only be replace and weed will never be replaced.

At the end of the day anyone dealing with weed or any other drug is in the sales industry. It’s a sales job. Don’t confuse over saturation with an industry decline. Just because a lot of people are building and selling houses doesn’t mean the real estate game is dying.

The weed game is actually thriving. People have more options than ever. The black market will never die, as it is still a major supplier of the grey market and even the white market. And prices will always be cheaper on the streets.

The average consumer generally is super out of touch even when they think they are not. The high end weed market is still thriving. Connoisseurs know the boutique brands with real top shelf and don’t mind paying $300 an oz up to $1000 on the high end.

The variety in strains are not like they used to be and people are having fatigue, so the industry will likely trend to new flavor profiles in the next few years.

I’m a fashion consultant, so don’t take my word for it. Just some thoughts

This makes sense and I feel like if I came up in this era I'd naturally be able to acclimate to the modern trends. I came up in an era where, for example, I could go buy like 7 pounds for $3500, of straight up gas, and come out east and profit $15-16k off of it. Which is likely still possible now, but at least for me, felt different then. The hardest work was never selling the product, and I was shytting on competition with the quality I had access to...

I was in the business of sales but never had to be much of a salesman, if that makes sense. Getting the shyt off was easy work, it sold itself.

Some people enjoy doing shyt like this for life, so salute to you, my g. I had 15 years on and off of fukking with it, 7 years really of pulling coast to coast (first time I did that with weed was 2012). I understood where the exit ramp was for me though, the dynamics of the sport changed in the mid-2010s, maybe not even for the worse, depending on the angle you view it from or if you a lifer you just adapt.
