Even if you wanna say Rihanna is more popular, Weeknd opening up for her doesn't make sense, he's too big MUSICALLY. His first mixtape is more classic than anything in Rihanna discog. He don't NEED rihanna at all.

sure he doesn't NEED her, but there's a reason he signed on to her tour in the first place--because she can introduce him to a lot of her fanbase on an international level...

he's good on his own here, which is why he isn't on the North American leg of her tour, but aside from places like London and maybe Paris, he'd have a tough time feeling seats...
