So, if you know anything about the greener side. We been leading the charge in Media features since day 1
And nothing is changing there. So while starved out gamers make fun of TV/etc
The rest of us will make use of these features, and we'll have E3's dedicated to games unlike this other company with sketches of TV shows
Anyways, WorldCup fever is running rampart across the world right now.
And you can watch all the WorldCup matches for free on Xbox Live via its ESPN app
The games run concurrently on ESPN and ESPN3 (ESPN3 is always free on ESPN app)
For those who didn't know, anything that airs on ESPN is available right afterwards to watch as a replay on ESPN3
So... during the WorldCup matches I noticed that the ESPN app allowed you to watch all ESPN programming during the WorldCup. AKA ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPNews all worked
Then after it was over, only ESPN3 would if you didn't have a subscription.
And thats how it would work. But during the Germany vs Brazil match, I got bored after halftime and started watching the regular ESPN shows and haven't looked back
@GoldenGlove
I let the ESPN app run in the background all this time. But today, I shut the app down
Then afterwards, I reopened the app. And I can still watch all the shows for free
I don't know WHY I'm eating, but there is only ONE MORE Worldcup match (well, 2)
So if anyone else who has kicked cable to curb wants to eat.... This is just one of many ways to
(Now I need other ppl to test this so I we can be sure)
