This is never the first option as you can see with the TS. He clearly stated he has all his ducks lined up and only wants to keep his son for a short period until she gets her stuff together.
I'm pretty sure in a year or so he'll be complaining about the child support payments being too damn high and the son being conditioned to hate his "ain't shyt daddy".

Time to get the child and keep him. Basically its this, if you can't support yourself, how can you be expected to support someone else. Child support is child support, not child and adult support.

Personally I believe you should have just asked her what she believed the solution was after she shot down yours; instead of getting into "splitting up the boys" and which parent is most important argument.

she doesn't. but I do....so i don't see the problem. i only want what's best for my son. if she can handle it, then i'm not opposed to him staying with her and paying child support. not at all. i just don't want my son to have to suffer just because we couldn't stay married. it's not fair to him. all i'm saying is that he can stay with me until she gets everything together. then he can go with her. am i missing something? what did i say that was unreasonable?
Once a boy reaches 8 years old, he should go stay with his father anyway.Especially if the father is responsible and has his shyt together.

ya'll certainly have a misconception of child support. 20% is what my child is entitled to. he is already on my medical insurance, and I have life insurance for him too. 20% is NOWHERE near half.

more than likely, she'll find something suitable for her and the boys to stay in before February. i'm almost positive about that. i'm just fukked up by the way that she came at me like she holds ALL the cards and she has me by the balls, and i make no decisions and i should just stand around and accept it like all of the other daddies that do. too bad that's not me....i was hoping that we could handle business without getting the courts involved, but if i have to get them involved, i can and will. she is the one that will hurt financially after it's all said and done...
