:what:

Tariq said there was no reason for him to vote. Black ppl are being pushed out of LA and the bay because of ridiculous rents. He calls anything that isnt specifically black trickle down policies, but black ppl survival is based on some of these policies. I fukk with Tariq but he is rich and out of touch and doesnt seem to care about the concerns of the poor, many of them black especially in California

Black people are not being pushed out, because of the high rent. It's due to Black people not being employed and making enough money, if they are employed.

Your just talking out of your ass and do not know theu facts.

a lot of people on this site didn't have good men in their lives when they were growing up. what is this obsession with tariq nasheed. if somebody told me in 1999 when i knew about him that in 2018, tariq nasheed would be such as a polarizing figure, i would have laughed them to death.

I’ve noticed the obsession with this guy these people here have. Live your fukkin life

Hr never said fully dont vote tho.

He said dont vote for anything that doesnt help black people specifically.

If this prop helps alot of black people or against gentrification, than im sure tariq would say vote for this
With this rationale he would have opposed the civil rights legislation in the 60s

I can usually tell who does and who doesnt listen to tariq when he does his podcasts.

The first 5 minutes is all ads and 'get your mink slide tickets and hidden colors dvds'

And almost like clockwork he finds a way to mention his DVDs, lectures or his music, or his other podcasts.

He only ever quotes neely fuller and claude Anderson. He often forgets names, stumbles with trying to find sources for his claims while he's on air.

He will only have suggestions if they are linked to him. He will not endorse any black politicians, and rarely talks about anyone who he respects. He doesn't even have guests on his shows anymore.

This does not mean he is not intelligent, doesnt know how to debate or doesnt have good ideas but he is not someone who will do something if he is not going to get paid. He isnt and has never claimed to be a role model or leader of any kind. He is not the person you look at to take political advice from. When he beefs with someone he gets petty and you can hear his tone changing as he gets emotional instead of just calmly dismantling his opponents with facts. He is first and foremost an entertainer and businessman. He will call people c00ns or dusty or hood rats but not try to reprogram them. He is more concerned with calling out shyt than spending time and money to work with people to fix it, because again he wants the spotlight all to himself.

Yall need to understand that he has knowledge and facts but he is not someone on the same level as a malcolm. I still listen to dudes podcast but yall need to stop acting outraged like you're expecting anything other than what he is.
I agree with all of this.

I’ll always be a fan because of how ridiculously entertaining he is but on some topics he’s useless.

This is basically their argument:dead:...:snoop:
It's really intellectually dishonest when negus start talking about 'white supremacy is covert, they pass anti black legislation but it's not obvious by how its worded. Yall need to watch these devils" yet they want the solutions to this sneaky legislation to be very obviously intended for black people like they dont live in a country where most of the white population doesn't think racism exists and that black people just want something for nothing. Stakes are too high for nikkas to be playing dumb and not recognizing that if there is covert anti black legislation, there must be covert pro black legislation. Nobody is obvious in their stance when it comes to politics anymore.

Funny because the proposition actually got shytted on by the voters
Weed legalization also failed in California 4 years before it passed ... the props that are controlled by the most money can convince people to vote against their own interest via paid media blitz .... rent control will likely be back on the ballot in a few years after a proper campaign behind it is forged
