And yes, there definitely could be cash coming from the gulf. Many Somalis are also in the gulf too.
And no, Islam is no Arab religion. Only 20% of Muslims are Arabs anyway. And not all Arabs are Muslim and never have been. There was probably more Muslims in Africa than in Arabia to begin with even during the Rashidun.

the fact that there is corruption or other forces involved is not evidence that its NOT about religion, religion is obviously a significant factor, you can argue about how significant it is, but the notion that this isn't about religion is kinda laughable just looking at the basic facts and people's own words
