Sicilians have on average between 13 and 25% SSA DNA. There percentage of SSA DNA is a little higher than the rest of Italy's.

I'm Italian and luckily I took enough interest in where my blood comes from and what it has gone through. Moors invaded and conquered whats now Sicily and parts of southern Italy. My fam is from Sicily and Naples both were conquered by the Moors. Mind you, we're talking something like 400-500 years ago. They were taking all the Italians who wouldn't convert to islam out back and chopping off heads then coming back and fukking their widows.

In America, Italians weren't considered white. No one from Mediterranean decent was. Italians either did work for cheap and were killed for it or were treated like thugs/gangsters and killed for it. Matter of fact one of the largest mass lynchings in US history was 11 Italians in New Orleans. They were falsely accused of killing a white Irish man.

Actually, I once had a teacher of mine in high school tell me he didn't like me because I was Italian. He was german and told me everyone hated the Italians because they stole jobs or were criminals.
