if you can't differentiate between jobbing out your top guy to a one note generic heel with no shelf life...and using your top guy to elevate someone that was already a proven commodity (and future top 10 superstar all time) after one of the biggest angles ever then you have either completely missed the point of this thread or you are just tryna argue for no reason.
How the hell do you know Rusev has no shelf life? When we see Kane in his 18th year in his character? Did you start watching wrestling this year?

yea that's a fair point I guess. I guess it's too premature to completely rule out rusev. there's no telling how he can evolve his character over time and give him some new layers.
but as of RIGHT NOW he's not fit for any extended main event run. I'm sorry.
He never will be if no one puts him over. Same goes for Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Sami Zayn, Neville, Baylor, and everyone else who hasn't been in the same main event circle since 2005.

rusev has been over as a monster heel for awhile now. before february of this year if you stuck him in the ring with anybody else other than cena, you might not have been sure if the other guy could beat him. that's how established he was. not even reigns could score a clean win against him when they fought.
i just don't know what else you expect them to do for this guy. i mean isn't this the case with just about every monster heel in history?

i buy rusev as a believable tough guy. i very much think he is suited for that menacing heel role.
but i see him as someone who should be used to create new stars, i don't see him as THEE star.
rusev could be used to get guys like ryback and cesaro over.
he shouldn't even be working with cena right now imo.

well that's your opinion.
i do not believe he is supremely talented, but i believe ryback has more upside in terms of being popular with the fans.

Henry has become a joke put over talent...he talks shyt to Rusev and Lesnar and gets beat up in record time. That's been his job for months.
What do I expect? They made sure Lesnar didn't lose at WM 29. I expect them to build up heels that can look dominant for a good face to beat them when the time is right. Typical shyt, right? The way it always was...they did it for Warrior by using Rude. They did it for Austin by using DX, Owen, and Bret. EVERYONE laid down for Goldberg..even Hogan didn't politically try to stop that clean win in Atlanta.
They put Rusev in a segment with Rock...something they didn't do any other talent except for the failed Reigns experiment that THEY THEMSELVES botched up. Rusev was doing just fine until Cena buried him outright. They got a I Quit match set up to complete it. How can you not see this being a problem? Being an issue..Cena terrorizes Monday Nights with his nonsense and you in here defending this wack f@ggot like he's the hero of the business when he can't sell out arenas by the week and can't get those subscriptions up. If he was this ALMIGHTY huge star, it would of been him vs Lesnar at WM instead of Reigns. But he's not. It's just a hype line for them to say because their company is not what's popping these days.

they had to put rusev over guys like big show and henry because those guys don't have much left to offer.
earthquake went over jimmy snuka at mania 6 because a) snuka was a big name and it would make earthquake look like more of a beast... and b) snuka's best days were behind him.
and rude was a midcard guy, not a top guy. it made sense for them to use him to help get warrior over. they didn't feed warrior straight to hogan after he got done with hercules. they had to build him up first.
rusev didn't even mingle with any legit mid carders before being sent staright to cena. there's your problem. he needed to go over someone credible first... but there are no credible mid carders.
edit: i'm burnt btw snuka lost to rude at 6, not earthquake.
