Janet was such a shyt singer, but she used her sex appeal too. Rihanna may not be a top vocalist, but she shyts on Janet in that category. Matter of fact, the only thing she has on Princess Riri is stage performing. Rihanna is a better artist and make more enjoyable tracks. I honestly couldn't stand Janet's singing voice. She and Ciara both got that #strugglevoice .
I willing to bet, 20 years from now, when she's done making music and some new black pop chick comes along, nostalgia is going to kick in and you'll start giving Rihanna the props she deserves.

My girl put me on Unapologetic it was my first time actually listen to a Rihanna album front to back. And I was very impressed. She can make a dope pop hit/banger (diamonds, power it up,Jump,Numb) but than she can do some dope melo/soft shyt (Stay, Love Without Tragedy-Mother Mary, Get It Over With).
