So this is Hov's worse album ever lyrically, but his best production wise....

Album is ok

I have to agree with you, It's like Timbo got a new lease on life but the people he's working with are not matching the intensity and energy of the production. This just seems like some Rich dude Vatican type of rap. Plus he talks about Basquiat on this album more than Basiquiat was ever talked about while he was alive.

When Jay Z drops an album I usually listen to it for a week or so and then never again (with the rare exceptions being Reasonable Doubt, American Gangster and The Black Album)

I predict this will be the same, but this is a hipsters dream come true album

all the references to garbage artist like Jean Michel Basquit and Warhol.

Picasso name drops

I honestly don't even think Jay likes art, he's just into it because he thinks sophisticated people are and some of the pieces are very expensive. Art to him is what Bentleys probably were to him in 98, just another tool to brag and show off status.

I feel like this whole album could be summed up as "Hey, I'm better than you" cause that's what he basically said on all the tracks

im the same with Jay's shiit..always dies out in a week for me. I do like this one though..makes me want to listen to it more than BP3(wack) and Kingdom Come(spotty as fucck) did...more cohesive than American Gangster too for the most part. Jay just got nothing left to say

At this point he either needs to drop a sequel to American Gangster, drop that Nas collabo LP or just retire.

we appreciate Jay and all he's done for the game but at this point we've seen all he's got to offer. Magna Carter is decent....but feels like BP3.5 tho

Jay is just Call of Dutying it now

Worst performance of Jays career lyrically. These flows are so tired and weak.

When Coli posters do mock jay lyric threads I read better bars than I'm hearing on this album.
