Chris Rock on the roles he's offered.

If you can't watch he says he had a meeting with Harvey Weinstein who was the owner of Miramax. Chris Rock goes in there super excited like '':gladbron: This is Harvey Weinstein who made classics like The English Patient, The Piano.''

Weinstein tells him he has a film for him called ''Rapper Bus''. The premise is Chris Rock is driving a bus full of rappers. . .

Chris Rock: :what:. Where's The English Patient at?

I mean it's no secret black actors play shytty roles because those are the only ones available to them.

Film companies are more willing to take risk with white actors and allow them to show range more than they would with black actors.

Jonah Hill is a two-time Academy Award nominee.
Let that sink in.

Unfortunately they write scripts to make money, and since racist white America isn't really interested in seeing too many non white faces on screen then scripts aren't casted like that
Yea but in the 90s they was green lighting hood movies all the time, and this was the early 90s, bacc before hip hop and black culture in general was as dominant and popular as it was in the early 2000s.

Why is that?
