And Michael B. Jordan is the only black actor you named that didn't come out 20+ years ago.:ohhh:
That should tell you something.:ohhh:
Exactly. But Heebs is a troll. A White troll impersonating a Hotep. But obliging him anyway, you're right. All those Black actors he named have been in the game 25yrs or more except MJB. He basically inadvertently made our point.

This shyt takes time.

You gotta be a middle class nikka to appreciate movies/comedy like that and have the financial backing from your parents to go for your dreams.

Japanese art is big now cuz the kids didn't have to worry about where food was coming from and they got to focus on their hobbies.

Black people are for the most part still trying to get stable. Give it a decade and black indie art (aside from rap) will be a lot more mainstream. This guy on YouTube is what I'm talking about. It all starts with the parents.

if they did indie movies they wont be invited to the oscars, maybe an invite to some film festivals but we all know everyone wants to attend the oscars

in music its been proven u make way lotta money independently but instead we trade that for 1/10 of the money, a platinum plaque and a possible invite to the grammys

its gotta be something like Stockholm syndrome etc etc

Chris Rock is an established comedian, doubt anyone will come to him for a serious dramatic role like the English Patient, even though a few white comedians have tried to pass over into that genre (robin Williams, Jim carrey).
comedic actors make some of the best dramatic actors
Marlon Wayans in Requiem for a Dream
Mike Epps in Sparkle & so on

the oscars are the pinnacle that's why, and as a filmmaker i understand this
but the committee of the oscars are like 95% white (i think)

so its in the black filmmakers to leave the oscars alone for the time being

:yeshrug:My sympathy ran dry for Black celebs long time ago. All the money and resources nobody thought hey lets come together and start some shyt so young black talent don't have to go through the same bullshyt we went through

They'll come up with a million excuses eventhough Nigerians doing it with 1/100th the resources

It all comes down to them not wanting to risk their money and hoping massa will eventually give them a good role

Black actors(atleast the OG ones that we know and love) just seem like they dont give a fucc or they're contempt.

shyt them nikkas off money and violence literally made a hit web series with MILLIONS of views just using a damn camera he got at walmart and didnt even know how to work it at first.

If regular hood nikkas can use a walmart camera to get deals by jay z and universal and shyt, then these MULTI MILLION dollar black actors literally have no excuse :camby:

They full of shyt bro

Africans barely got running water and they funding films

Black celebs should be ashamed for not turning Atlanta into a black hollywood yet with multiple film studios. Not just Tyler Perry. But multiple film studios. You don't even need Hollywood. They can make movies, limited release them, put them on Netflix and Youtube and eat.

Nikkas worth $40 million, $80 million acting like they can't break off $1 million to do a movie.

My guess is they probably feel like it's flushing money down the toilet as most movies fail. But if you're never going to do anything to change your predicament, stop complaining. Shut the fukk up :camby:

Man I don't even think they're scared of failure. People love to say black ppl dont support their own but I know for a fact that nikkas support black films and TV.

nikkas just want white peoples approval, not blacks, thats all they really gotta say :camby:
