:mjpls: Nothing wrong with the preparation and cooking? That looks appetizing to you.
:skip:

Real talk, cheesesteak meat is so thin you can drop it on the grill frozen. Makes it easier to dice up. They do the same with chopped cheese patties. And I won’t really knock the oil; everyone has their own weird tricks and setups when it comes to getting the protein cooking right.

All that other shyt they were doing... :hhh:

As a philly Native, I'm disgusted by that NY display.

I lived in northern va outside of dc for last 3 yrs. Food is horrible down here. I'm relegated to making my own cheesesteaks. If I don't get a steak when I go home, I make them myself. I buy thin sliced ribeye, American cheese, yellow onions and Arnold's rolls. I make it on a skillet.

My top 3 cheesesteak spots in the philly area

3) Gooey Louie's - South Philly
2) Mama's - Bala Cynwyd
1) D'Alessandro's - Roxborough

Geno's is even worse, it's owned by a racist.

I always knew not to go to Pat's or Geno's. When I went to Philly I asked locals for recommendations and so far I've got Iskabibble and Jim's. I've heard good things about Tony Luke's too
When I visit my people in Philly they always take me to Max's. After my 1st time there I grabbed a cheese steak from a Chinese spot when I got back to MD. Tossed that shyt after a couple bites cause it was so terrible.

They laughed at my homeboy when he said he went to Pat's and Geno's

Nothing wrong with how they making it, they just aint chop the meat up right.
Some places dont chop the meat, even in Philly... not the popular option.
There’s everything wrong with putting frozen meat on a grill
