I liked the first album when it came out, but revisiting it years later I can see why he didn’t make it big. His singing voice isn’t good for a professional artist :manny:

his singing voice is weak and honestly just works as a reference vocal for the artist you want to sell to.

all the shyt he worked on during his "prime" shouldve gone to Usher, Mario, Craig David and maybe even an older artist like Ron Isley trying to spice his shyt up with a younger producer (like he did with R Kelly and Babyface in the 90s)

crossing Puff on anything other than paperwork was a HORRIBLE idea and you gotta have some balls to swipe some dude's chick, wife her up and parade her around for like 10 years LOL :russ:

Puff made this dude damn near irrelevant in the industry and I would say it's "sad" but Ryan shouldve known better. Cassie was an even weaker singer than him and he pushed music on her. Bad idea.

Ryan jumped in lanes that just didnt fit him and after a while, this bullshyt "mogul" image looks corny as fukk, even when someone like Puff does it.

No reason why dude couldnt have sold 200 songs and cashed the fukk out and pulled in a couple of young beat makers under him and started a production company. There's a reason why a dude like The Dream can continually make music, get placements, do his own lil projects and cook up with A listers like Beyonce and Rihanna.

Breh wanted that spotlight so bad and unfortunately came in contact with a real shark who treated him like a true rookie. Stay your ass behind the scenes and get this money, get your publishing up and create your own lane.

Anyone else with a respectable voice would have probably made this song a hit
