My only thing is, tell me, what’s the difference between the “Versace” from a Versace store and “fake Versace”? If it looks the same or even close, why would I want to spend more of my hard earned money just to say “this is real Versace”?

I’d never buy “designer” clothes anyway because it’s foolish within itself, but I’m just wondering
Doing this says... You want the clout of having designer but can't afford the price. So you gotta justify it. People who don't care wear anything. They don't try to look like they got designer on

Either way it’s all about trying to impress others based on a name or style, which I always thought was crazy.

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
I can get quality anywhere. More like “robbery”
That joke was painful to read.

I can't imagine the sheer agony you must have felt posting it.

There is a huge difference in quality. That's why a real Rolex lasts a lifetime and a knock off stops ticking after a thunderstorm.

But you wouldn't know because you're above materialism and wear nothing but Communist taupe colored shirts and slacks.

I did and can’t answer the question. I don’t spend any more than I have to anywhere I go. I just can’t pay hundreds of dollars for something that costs $10-20 to produce. Everything has a markup but hundreds or thousands of percent in markups is just something I’m not willing to accept with my money unless it’s cars or investment properties that I can still make a return on

On top of that, the MAJORITY of people are buying designer to impress other people based on the name; quality is normally not even part of the thought process when buying it

Well yeah. I respect that but I'm not sure thats reflective of most peoples consumption.

Some people might like Fashion and not gaf about Cars :yeshrug:

Buying most brands is involves impressing people. you asked why buy not buy a fake and thats the most logical reason.

That IS NOT why a real Rolex costs so much. It costs so much because people are dumb enough to pay for it. The actual metal and gears in a Rolex probably costs $100 max. It’s called marketing and “sales”. It’s the same reason people will pay $1000 for an iPhone that costs $200 to make. Same reason people will pay millions for a Bentley that costs a couple hundred thousand to put together. It’s all marketing and trying to impress other people.

I’m not being an ass when I say people are dumb.

Like I tell y’all all the time; give me your mom, sister, or gf’s social media handle. I’ll send them this dikk pic with my name and AVI next to it, then let them tell you if I’m a “cac”

And I’ll say this again…every single person that has any kind of sense on this forum, y’all say cac or c00n. Over and over it shows how damn stupid most of our people are, unfortunately

Stfu, cac.

They only use 904L steel.

It's literally about top tier quality, comrade.

Let’s be honest, on most marketable items he has a point. I’m not speaking on watches snd such because I don’t know the first thing about watches but iPhone is a perfect example. Google phone tend to have better specs but iPhones are leading the charge in the states. A lot of this shyt ain’t really quality but more so about marketing. And you can buy quality goods without the 500% markup that the big fashion houses use.

That's not the equivalent. It's not top of the line brand v. top of the line other brand.

You know theres counterfeit phones, right?

iPhone vs a fake iPhone is a more appropriate comparison.

Hey, it dials, right?

Of course, marketing is an important component but brands without quality products don't stick around long.

Hell, Rolex has been around since the early 1900s.

For a reason.

I’m pretty sure the quality is gonna be much better. Real Versace you gotta dry clean. Fake Versace you gotta wash with like colors
:heh:
