The 360 and Windows 7 are now years old though. I think within the past 3 years Microsoft has been all over the place and has since lost its focus on why it was in the position it was in. For some reason they have grown extremely aggressive in completely controlling their ecosystems and I have held the strong belief that the only company that can get away with that is Apple because of the culture they have set from the very beginning. Microsoft has usually been about being an open platform easy to develop for on top of a closed source operating system.

They have gone completely in the opposite direction and anything with the word windows is viewed upon as old or in a negative light. The XBOX brand had serious momentum going into this E3 and they managed to mess that up as well with their overly aggressive vision in the past 2-3 years. I know you see it. Have you upgraded to Windows 8? Its a slick operating system, but them trying to steer you into a completely new direction when your business was built upon people having the option to customize your computing experience is NOT the way to go about it IMO. Hell even xbox live has closed itself even more than it was when it first launched...its getting ridiculous man.

This is coming from someone who LIKES Windows Phone, Windows 8, AND will own an XBOX One.
