I'm wondering if this mixtape was Drake meant it was too late for. Drake probably knew Thug was gonna try to do a no-promo release since they were both under CM umbrella. When Wayne had to sue he turned to his go to guy and said "we gotta stop they money now fam". Thug's no promo release looks weak compared to Drizzy's and Birdman has to stop rubbing his hands and rethink the plan.

The decision to name it Carter 6 then rename to Barter could've come along after as there is no real theme to the tracks.
