The dude is not articulate which is ironically why he got so far but it's coming to bite him in the ass now. The McCain comments were legit awful though
He is wrong though. Most of the older vets don't get as emotional with their traumatic experience but for example they've found they dealt with more issues with vices like alcoholism and the like. They just come from a generation where you don't talk about it. You just drink a beer and beat your wife like a real macho man.
It seems that Vietnam is the time of the change over where people were much more visible with their emotional distress.
