Look at the players selected between Phillys picks of Noel (6) & MCW (11) in 2013, only McCollums worth a damn. Other than him their only other potential hit was KP over Okafor, and KPs people made it clear he wasn't playing for Philly.

Hitting on Ben at 1 and Joel at 3 in their respective drafts trumps those misses by a lot, trading up just to miss on Tatum pending how Fultz turns out would be the first real blow.

The process has panned out because we see and know how difficult it is to evaluate talent then actually have players pan to being solid players let alone all stars.

2 all stars/ All NBA outta 5 is amazing.

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
Point of the process is setting yourself up to roll the dice over-and-over on high picks, and you're missing a lot of context.

MCW was the 11th pick in shytty class, he shouldn't have been much anyway. Sam fleeced the league and tricked everyone into thinking he was good so he could later flip MCW for LA's 1st round pick. Great move and great value for the 11th pick in the 2013 draft.

We traded away Holiday for Noel + a future first so we could start our tank and gamble on Nerlens' upside. He's a good player, was one in Philly, just didn't fit here with the emergence of Embiid and got stuck in a terrible situation in Dallas with a bad manager. He'll pan out, dude is a high level defender who racks up blocks and steals and is making his free throws at a good rate, and can throw down tons of lobs. If he was in Houston, he'd be looking similar to(not exactly) like Capela right now to the people.

More importantly, we got a future first in that deal that became the 10th pick in 2014 which we then flipped for 12 and got another future first too. With 12 we got Dario Saric who was a phenomenal selection on top of Embiid who we got at #3. People sleep on Dario, combines toughness with the skillset to become one of the best 4s in the league on offense.

Okafor was a bust, but signs point towards that not being Hinkie's selection. After Embiid's injury and with Dario still in Europe, ownership got hesitant in letting Sam choose someone that was considered a big question mark like KP. People forget Porzingis was supposed to take forever to develop and had huge bust potential, plus he didn't workout with Philly. He was an unknown to the average fan, and as we saw from Knicks' fans on draft night wouldn't have initially been a popular selection amongst the people filling your arena. Owners wanted the "surefire" ready from day 1 Okafor that everyone knew fresh off of a national title and would bring in fans. Okafor rated poorly analytically in college though, which completely contradicts everything Hinkie stood for as a former Morey understudy. I don't think he really picked Jah, he was forced to.

Simmons, Embiid, Saric, Fultz, Covington, cheap role players like TJ, future draft assets, and tons of cap flexibility :ttpblessed:
Watch ya mouth disrespecting The Process :ufdup:we changed the league

Process started with Noel to me, they were still kinda in purgatory during MCW

i never liked Noel, idk what people saw in him. Fultz is too early, but yes it was a stupid trade to do when Tatum looked every bit as good and they needed a wing
Why do you guys keep bringing up Tatum. The Celtics had the #1 pick and Tatum was their number 1 guy. If there were any inclination the Lakers or Sixers wanted him they would have just taken him #1. The Lakers nor the Sixers could not have drafted Tatum if they wanted.
