Why y'all worked about this in this middle is the summer

They just finished their 1st year playing together and win a playoff series

What is the measure of success for you people?

Should they have beaten the Warriors in 5 ? LoL

Smh.. This team won 10 games a few years ago.
The fact that this thread exists is proof that it was already a success

Look at the players selected between Phillys picks of Noel (6) & MCW (11) in 2013, only McCollums worth a damn. Other than him their only other potential hit was KP over Okafor, and KPs people made it clear he wasn't playing for Philly.

Hitting on Ben at 1 and Joel at 3 in their respective drafts trumps those misses by a lot, trading up just to miss on Tatum pending how Fultz turns out would be the first real blow.

Don't forget it wasn't a straight up trade Philly also attached Sacramento's first rounder next year and it looks like the Kings pick will be top 5 (1st Pick Protected), so Tatum could become a Bum but there's another potentially great player coming to Boston because of the Tatum/Fultz trade.

Trade can end up looking like

Philly gets
Markelle Fultz

Boston Gets
Jayson Tatum
and whoever is available from Nazreon Reid / RJ Barrett or Sekou Doumbouya

Why do you guys keep bringing up Tatum. The Celtics had the #1 pick and Tatum was their number 1 guy. If there were any inclination the Lakers or Sixers wanted him they would have just taken him #1. The Lakers nor the Sixers could not have drafted Tatum if they wanted.

Celtics didn't trade Markelle Fultz to Philly, They traded the Rights for First Overall pick in the Draft to Philly for the 3rd and a Future 1st rounder, Jayson Tatum was available when Philly picked 1st Overall and they decided to draft Markelle Fultz, They passed on Jayson Tatum.

The Trade was made days before the Draft. Philly and the Lakers could've had Tatum.
