I always felt like this game should've just been a next gen game from the start. It always seemed way too ambitious for current gen consoles. I bet the PS4/Xbox One versions have poor performance, visual features cut back and worse image quality but then that says a lot. They probably had to cut back certain elements out the game entirely because of development for current gen consoles. This is why I dislike cross gen games as they have to sacrifice things from the get go just to work with the old systems.
Horizon Zero dawn was supposed to have flying all over the map with the robots but it probably was going to be too much especially with the fidelity the game already had. They had to cut it out because the PS4 CPU was too weak. That's an example of hardware holding a game back even for current gen. Now obviously there's other games that have flight and are open world but that would've been with those complex flight type robot animals with the visuals that's already in the game.
Developers cut ideas due to limitations for every game tho not named 2k/madden

And in the case of a single player game, they could still add the shyt you talking about in your example. The ps4 pro isn't really that much more powerful tho, just a smart idea to get nikkaz to spend more money

Back to this thread topic tho, let's say everything is true. They gonna push back the release date almost a year just to optimize the xbox version? Does that even sound realistically logical?
