yeah exactly. It wasn't what I was expecting. That's it. The gameplay footage looks good, but not what I was expecting based on the hype

The in game stil looks "soo good".
The only difference here is the gameplay footage is in 30fps and it features much more visual elements that can be fastidiously picked apart by detectives. The teaser blurred a lot of things out so there wasn't much to go off from.
The screens aren't even a like for like comparison and secondly the game isn't even out yet. I frankly think people who make snap judgements on a games visuals RIGHT after a twitch stream of a stream went up are ridiculous. The gamersyde vid had better iq than the twich/youtube video and furthermore some users report the uploaded video had incorrect RGB levels so on PC they'd look washed up. I'm on a TV so someone watching a limited RGB video on a monitor displaying full RGB will see different things. Youtube exacerbates the whole ordeal.

The game still looks just as good as it first was shown. Those screens I posted show that.
I cannot honestly see where some people are saying they feel misled as you are.(well actually only a small few) What exactly changed??

The E3 video looked good, and I expected to be wowed by graphics like that with everything. Everybody was talking about the vegetation and terrain and shyt in that psx thread. I had this crazy expectations that it would look drastically different than what is already out there. It doesn't. Not saying it looks bad. I'm not saying that at all. It just didn't look as good as those initial "ohhs and ahhs" that everybody in that thread was making.
I had very high expectations, and I'm very nitpicky, so that's where this is coming from. Like you said, pop-in pisses me the fukk off. I'm not like the average gamer.

You can't honestly expect a console game to wow you on the same level as your easily configurable PC desktop. You gaming on triple monitors with a super wide resolution and ultra graphics at 60fps. Your expectations are through the roof but you gotta see it from the regular gamers pov. Someone who's playing PS4 is easily impressed with this because it's new to them and on the console space, rivals what's out.
To me it meets my expectations because it looks similar to some shyt I'm playing now. Far Cry 4 looks like what I expect UC4 to look like on some levels but again ND as their own artstyle, aesthetics and animations that stand out so even though I'm already on PC, I can still be wowed. Hell, a presumably pre-alpha PS4 game looks on par with a PC game that's out now for me, that's a feat.
I'm wowed by Bayonetta 2's animation system and that's on Wii U
