He’s one of those few artists who has had a pretty good career, but never fully reached his potential. Back in the early 2010s you couldn’t go anywhere in NYC without hearing his name mentioned. He had a legit following and this right before the festival waive and DSPs too off. But dude made his money and seemed to lose interest in rap. I argue he was bigger than Kendrick and Drake during his peak (Problems). They hoped on his track when they knew that was going to be big.
