that major drop off in sales though he still doing decent numbers but it's not gonna sell as much as each week passes. ususally other artists keep a steady rate of selling 2 weeks in. album only been out for 2 weeks and it's already starting to get stale. been going back to his older music instead which sounds even better than before.

no, but its pretty obvious the critics whiffed on this and the public ain't lying...Drake got a hit.

They exposed themselves. Writing think pieces about Drake's demise less than 12 hours after the album dropped.

They smelled blood when many people were initially disappointed that Views wasn't a collection of club bangers and ran with that shyt.


Then when the numbers started rolling in, they got on their game fast and hard, claiming that the numbers were from old Hotline Bling streams and then One Dance hit number one and almost every song popped up on the Hot 100, all of a sudden, he's using Apple Music to "game the system".

They tried really hard to end this nikka, and you've gotta ask yourself why.

In my opinion, the critical tide started to turn against him after Hotline Bling became a success, after he proved that he had massive cross-over appeal. The reviews for WATTBA, if you recall, were very snarky and vicious.

It's was all cool when all Drake was doing dominating the hiphop/charts. His impact was limited in that way. But when he started to became a global star? They showed their true colors.

I hate arguments like this, no matter the album. Views is meh but plenty of people are still talking about it and playing it. It sold 1mil in a week and has the #1 song in the country.

Just because people in your hood aren't playing something doesn't mean it has been forgotten. I hate the fast food way hip hop fans view the genre. Yea a lot of shyt is fast food but even as someone who is not a Drake fan I wouldn't call him fast food.
