Read both books and read the actual history surrounding them for better context. Read about the cultures of the people involved, the time period, the general meta of the societies involved, the clashes of certain people living together in the space etc.. and you will understand why certain things were written
It’s better than being ignorant. I know a dude who’s a huge Christian and has read a lot of different religious texts. He makes solid educated points without being a stereotypical Luddite

you can't read the Bible and the Quran? Don't give me that server two masters BS either. I don't have a religion, I like to read both books and there have been times where the scripture of the day from both books are the same. But I had ol head tell me I'm going to hell for reading both books
