Sheeeeit, I took my daughter trick or treating.

We didn't hit up houses, just stores, but kids don't understand the magnitude of this shyt. All they know is its Halloween so I had to come through and seems like a lot of people were out too.

Naw it's cool. My co worker came over with his kids and I had some stuff for them. It's good for the kids. Some sense of normalcy

Made a huge post and it posted twice, went to edit it and the message was gone, wtf.

Basically went back to Long Beach today, had a foot of water in the apartment. Luckily we saved a lot of stuff because we put it up high when we left. Some stuff ruined though, television stand, fouton, box spring destroyed thankfully the mattress didn't get wet, my books, fridge, stove, a hand carved corner shelving unit, and both our mp3 players. Thankfully I backed out music up on an external HDD. Some other stuff I'm too tired to remember. Sand all over the apartment. But like I said luckily we took a lot before we left and what we didn't I put up high. The force of the water hitting the house actually knocked some stuff on the floor. It was crazy seeing cars thrown about like matchbox cars. We didn't drive around much, just basically to our apartment and out of there. We took some stuff today like our clothes and televisions, goin go back tomorrow and get some more stuff that wasn't ruined. As bad as it sounds, we ended up pretty lucky compared to most out there.

Looking at that subway map. Just thinking they really messed up not having a Brooklyn-Queens-Bronx line ever built :smh:
