fukk are you talmbout? College is slow but if you do your research its pretty much a guaranteed career.

There is "better" ways to get paid but they take talent and money. And even then you're still taking a risk because some people aren't gonna make it. Way of the world. If you're slow and broke and have the time to sit down then college is your best bet. If you can get real world experience and get paid then do that instead. But don't try to act like college is a joke cuz its not.

so what do you (and other people who think like you) propose as an alternative to college?
Gettin it how you live.

College takes 4 years for just a bachelors. More years for a master/doctorate. If you spent those 4 years seeking out money making ideas and following through with them you'll come out with more money and real world experience then any of those college graduates. The hard part is finding fresh lucrative ideas and getting the start up cash to invest. But if you actually do it its way more rewarding then college. Thing is most people won't actually do it. They need the structure of school, grades, bosses, etc in order to get motivated. When your self employed you have to be your own motivation which can be hard at times.

At the end of the day you'll always make more money striking out on your own. As long as you follow the systems set plan (school, college, job, retire) your income level will always be capped. Thats why only 8% of people make over 100,000 before taxes. Cuz 8% of people had the vision to be the boss. Everyone else either followed the plan or straight up failed.

a guaranteed minimum income. there's 100 million unemployed working age americans and that number grows by the day. plenty of people don't want more than food, shelter and a couple bucks to spend on a friday night. let them be them instead of slaves

Honestly...What do the majority of people go to college for?

Outside of specialized fields in medical, engineering, communications....

What are you going to college for.

I just completed my Emergency Management Degree and realized something...The fukk am I going to do with this shyt that I wasn't going to be able to do anyway?

To me college is nothing more than a check the block process...If you don't complete A you can't get to B....But the question is who made it a requirement to get to A.

I think more people should learn trades or open there own business instead. Or do both....College is generally just a check the block process to be acceptable on the ant farm.

I'm about to graduate this May, and I do think college is a ripoff in many ways. It's still impossible to get a job in certain fields without a degree though. If you're not in one of those fields, the only thing you're really getting out of this is connections.
