Gotta go to them union leads and take the gloves off. Probably only gonna give you a raise to maybe match inflation on this go around. It’s about the years down the road. We had a probably at my last company with them changing the retirement from pension to retirement fund for new employees who joined after the new contract. Obviously pension is better but the company got over on new employees and they don’t even know it.

I bet that's exactly what it is. Some bullshyt like a dollar, which is a lil less than 4% for me, which would be absolutely wack for an agreement on a new contract. shyt, a yr ago, we got that for a COL increase.

What makes it worse is what John Deere got around that time. A 10% raise and a $8,500 sign on bonus.

A lot of us run these old ass machines that are already paid for 100 times over but are constantly down, yet we still put out parts. The quarterly bonuses we get are complete bullshyt as well.

Damn! I always wanted to be apart of some shyt like that, errbody always just talked shyt and complain in the break room instead...
:russ:

Last night, everybody was excited about potentially walking out. I get home and get a text from UAW saying that an agreement was reached. I almost wished they temporarily extended the current contract and continue with negotiations.

With the current climate of inflation, they know ppl got car payments and/or mortgages, so they know ppl don't want to miss any substantial amount of work, regardless of how underpaid the workers feel they are.

Yea look at that tentative agreement if they keep medical and retirement the same. They probably give a raise close to inflation or up to inflation probably on a 3 year deal.
