He has to step down as a mod and take the ban. It's the only way to restore the honor and prestige of this current administration. If not, this is a reflection on them all.

The fact that @FireDwaneCasey isn't banned is PROOF that this site is populated by dudes who can't get laid. How many times have you seen seen #GMB posted in a thread where dudes are just wishing they were athletes/attractive/rich should tell you everything you need to know about this site's inhabitants.

So a mod made a ban bet over the raptors and lost. Rather than honor the bet, the mod deleted the thread regarding his bet and is playing like it never happened? I am following this correctly?
I have never really paid attention to ban bets and this is all so fascinating. If the mod deleted the thread to destroy the evidence, shouldn't the administrator or another mod reinstate the thread as a sign of good faith? Are all the other mods and the admin just whistling and looking the other way?
Is it considered an abuse of power to delete the the thread created about the bet? How serious are ban bets taken?
