Their 3rd place finish last year is irrelevant as the whole east was tanking. Derozan and lowry are true stars, but all ya star power is in the backcourt. 2 glaring holes which are a better low post scorer (not sold on jonas and amir) and 3pt shooting. Bruno is a project. Vasquez, ya best bench player. That squad isnt sniffing the nba finals.

Truthfully if JV puts up 15/10 hes not that far off...in a league that lacks true centers and rim protectors i thnk he can be our equalizer...If he asserts himself this year he can definitely impact a game on both ends...plus he been working with Dream this offseason.

He just needs that counter move and he can be an all star, you think its out of the question when Roy Hibbert bum ass was one last 2 seasons...

I been a jonas fan since he was drafted. He hasnt showed me enough yet to assume he will eventually become what I thought he could be. The hibbert point is good, but centers dont get voted in anymore. I think its 2 Forwards and 3 guards, so he has work to do to get selected

I hate the Raptors with every piece of my heart and soul. I'm a Nets fan.

That being said, some of you muffukas are delusional, the Raptors were better from a talent standpoint than the Nets, but the Nets had more experience and better coaching (and I hate to say that about Jason Kidd but it's true). The Raps were a 3 seed in the East last year. people forget. Plus lol at Demar Derozen not being able to shoot when his shooting has improved a lot from when he was drafted. On top of that the kid shoots 45% from the field and 30% from 3 which is actually respectable for a kid who is a slasher, like I said this kid could be like a young Clyde Dexler. Kyle Lowry is one of the more well rounded PGs in the NBA. Granted the rest of that team is very raw. Valaciunas (spelling) has to stop playing like a Euro, and they didn't upgrade from Vasquez, but they generally hustle as a unit, they got a lot of nice depth players.

Valanciunas plays nothing like a euro breh....
Guy is not afraid to bang in the paint and go to the rim...

Maybe you aint paying attention then...First 3-4 games of the Nets series he was BEASTIN...and that was his first playoff test...and he was taking to them cats.He faded later in the series but that was because of a few other factors such as the coach going with vets...BUT that showed me dude is ready.

Truthfully he just needs to play 30+ mins a game and work on counters to his running hook and he'll be fine.
I thnk he will take a big step forward this year,im expecting him to be a double double machine this year...
It looks like he got his athleticism back too...

3pt shooting is a weakness? Thanks for showing you don't know what you're talking about. Top ten in makes and % last year. Ross, Lowry, and Patterson were near 40% and hitting 1 or 2 a game. Vazquez was pretty good too last year.

Young team with players who haven't reached their full potential, won their division last year, kept everyone, added to their bench = wonder why they're projected to finish as high as 3-5. quality posting.

Lowry was in a contract year and he balled outta control.... Who knows if derozan will play at the level he did last year. There front court is meh. No bench except for Vasquez .

Derozan has gotten better every year in the league and is working hard on his handles this summer. Sounds like he'll suck next year. :what:

Patterson was great off the bench last year. Added Lou Williams and James Johnson to have a deep bench this year.
