Archangel armor gave my snipers a better few of the field. That combined with squadsight and double tap let him pick off a lot a people without moving. Ghost worked better with assaults, imo. Run up on someone with the alloy gun, hit them with rapid fire, and they're dead before they know what hit them.

Did this with my assaults with rapid fire ability.
So I just started this game after getting it on Black Friday 
I was doing okay, until I was on some random mission and I got over excited and got my little cousin killed (he was an assault), after that I got my other assault cousin killed, and then finally it all came to a head in Buenos aires...... SMH I remade my cousin and he was a heavy we were running up the stairs when a doggone monster burst through the door. I got his brother to line up a shot as a sniper but I forgot snipers cant move and shoot in the same turn, so I made him take cover, none of my other troops were within range so the monster mauled my boy. We got over run, my whole team got murked, I collapsed on to my knees, my cousins and aunt were watching as I got the whole family killed
truly a sad day in my history.
I hadn't saved in a while and I just shut my Xbox off.... I couldn't deal with it

Feel connected when you name your troops after family and friends and one of them bite it during a mission
I only named them after they level up, I ain't getting attached to no red shirt rookie

So I'm pretty sure I'm at the end game basically I can press X as oppose to Y
Anyway I tried it once and took that L now im scared....... I'm trying to get a second sniper to level up and get that squad sight but her arm is so horrendous..... smh. She actually did level up after she panicked and blasted a berserker in the head. but then she got murked like a dummy
I might just roll with 2 heavies, 2 supports 1 sniper and my assault
