So, we not gonna talk about how Cena's US Open Challenges didn't help anyone?

It's pretty staggering how uneventful the whole thing felt. Del Rio won in a forgettable match, Cena is gone for a couple of months and no one gave single fukk :heh:
Exactly.

When Seth won it, it took Jon Stewart to help him win and he lost it the very next month.

Cena clearly gave no fukks out there tonight, we've seen him take 3-4 finishers in a match and come back and win with 1 AA, but tonight one kick to the face did him in :beli:

And KO is in a pointless feud right now that no one gives a shyt about.

Cena should've dropped the belt to Xavier woods. That's the wwe`s fault tho.

Del Rio need to go ahead and do what's right for business.

He don't know what to do with it anyways:ld:

Would've helped if he wasn't burying the actual champ like the main belt was on loan and he was bored of having it :snoop:. Yes, the 'E wanted to further the narrative that Rollins got the title through fukkery, and not merit, but Orton beating him combined with Cena clean constantly is straight trash storytelling, and buries the Shield with it. Combine that with the fact that he supposedly has the heel "Authority" behind him, the booking and burials make less and less sense. HHH was NEVER this unprotected.

When Cena is booked as strong as he is, the matches have no real illusion to them. The MO is now Cena will always overcome in the end and as soon as possible. There's no long term feuds and actual rivals, just transitional champions.

I wouldn't say that

Even though Owens lost, he was legitimized and will be familiar to the audience and taken seriously if he ever steps in the main event

And the belt hasn't been elevated? :mindblown: The shyt has gotten way more shine than the world title since Cena won it. Before Rusev it was literally Internet Champion status
Yea it would have made since if Ownes would have took that belt off him.. but ADR gives that temporary surprise and exciting moment, that is more important than storylilne continuity...:troll:

Of course they weren't going to use it to build a new star, why would they when they can just give it to a made star who doesn't need it or a part timer? :yeshrug:

Alberto's return last night got a lukewarm reaction at best, and that might be the best reaction he's gonna get. If whatever deal he cut with Vince also has him dropping out of AAA, I'm not sure if even Mexican fans are gonna be fukking with him like that because they might just feel like Alberto betrayed them for the money.

Every time Owens comes to the ring they mention he beat Cena his first match and is a made guy, but let the marks tell you he's done nothing

Also, US title was TNA status before he won it and now it means something again, which was exactly the point of this US Title reign

I just wish they'd kept Cena and Rollins apart. Their feud did nothing for either of them. The U.S. Champ consistently beating the world champ isn't a good idea no matter who the champs are.

The challenge itself was a good idea especially in the beginning when NXT guys etc would pop up to challenge (Owens, Sami) they just seemed to have no real end game in mind to conclude this angle which is par for the course these days.

Sami Zayn fukking up his shoulder also wasn't supposed to happen, that would have been another star CeGOAT pushed
