I haven't thought bout it honesty if he is a top 5 player to be honest I'm really enjoying his rise in his game on both ends of the floor I know he top 10 at least IMO
He won't shoot the ball as much as the other superstars but he is real effiecent and plays elite D shutting down their best player when he plays them or at least slows then down

He's in my top 10 and rapidly ascending but I wont give him top 5 yet until he does it for at least the whole season or two. With the way he has improved year by year I expect him to keep playing at this level or better.

He has elevated to all star but to be top 5 you have to be a superstar and he is not there yet, shyt we are just now giving steph that title after the crazy start he is having. You hav to do something amazing (score 45-50 point, have crazy amount of triple doubles, average 25, 5, 5 for a year) to be put on that level. I am just saying I'm sick of y'all anointing people the goat. Way too soon. As soon as Kobe didn't make the finals in 05 they couldn't wait to say lebron was better, then when he finally won a chip they couldn't wait to rank against Jordan. Fans are too reactionary now, let him ball out for the whole season and playoffs at least before we start saying he better than guys who have proven their self already.

nikkas in this thread are weighing defense way too heavily. Just because dudes like KD and Steph dont play remarkable defense doesnt mean Kawhi is better or more valuable than them. You only need to play decent defense as a perimeter player, offense is more important. The bigs are defensive anchors for a reason
