rock's been corny ever since he came back a few years ago. only reason everyone stays excited to see him when he's around is because they know it doesn't happen so often. in fact last time we saw rock in a wwf ring i believe was last year's wrestlemania. so of course he's gonna be fukkin over when he comes back. he's the rock.
but in reality PG rock's schtick is a lot like PG cena's, corny as fukk. always smiling, always joking, always pandering to the crowd, etc.

Why don't we see him? Why isn't this mysterious individual talked about week in and week out? i did not say the rock wasn't talented. i'm saying he's corny. he's become a cartoon caricature of himself, like hogan has. he shows up once a year, he spouts his catchphrases, he panders to the crowd, and he goes home. at this point it's basically a novelty act. but because of that, it hasn't overstayed it's welcome.
but when you chop it down he is guilty of all the things that people accuse cena of being. in fact when you remove all the window dressing, their act is one and the same. always smiling, always laughing, constantly pandering to the crowd, constantly reminding us how much love they got for the people, etc.

I thought his appearance was a good surprise. Once he started talking he kinda lost me, but it was more or less the typical 'Rock' promo that is laced with frat boy humor.
