Man, :patrice: og how I feel about Outkast at the end if this.

On one hand, I agree with Rico that not having them a part of Speakerbox/Love Below, not even for one joint, is a little bit weak. No question Organized Noize put them on in a major way. Showing that love back for 1 or 2 joints would definitely have been cool. Definitely not really thanking them is a bit of a slight, for sure.

On the other hand, Organized Noize wasn't that dope (they admitted as mcuh) as the time of that album's recording, and no one owes you anything in the game. And if Big Boi and Dre were able to produce for themselves and do it dope as early as ATLiens, and creatively they wanted to do their biggest album without the help of anyone else on the production side of things...I also feel they sort of earned that right based on their body of work up to that point.

Also, I've heard stories that Dre and Big Boi weren't even on the same page during that album and that's why they did it as a double album of 2 separate discs anyways.

:manny:

Who knows
Yea I felt some type of way about it em too but Love Below is still a classic.. And crazy thing is they didn't even record Stankonia together they had problems after they third album

i never knew Puff directed Players Ball either, the king of being all up in the video :takedat:

Earthtone 3 wasnt the good of a unit to me, big part of the reason i didnt like Stankonia that much. Mr. DJ had some joints on Still Standing, but i didnt like the production group much. they had the weaker joints on Even In Darkness

Bumped ATLiens again while reading the liner notes. Pretty damn impressed with what Andre and Big Boi produced.

Elevators? ATLiens? Wheelz of Steel? Mainstream? Over The Woods? Extraterrestrial? Not bad at all.

Is that a fact? Didn't record Stankonia together? Don't think I heard that one in the past.
