65, we get dough? 18-65 (avg working person) which is 47 years. Then at 65, (if you have a 401k) your going to get broke off each month......to do fukking what exactly, jog around my neighborhood, go to grocery store at 10am, and send off mail?!?! The fukking kind of life is this.....:what:. At that point, you only have a good 10 years before your nursing home bound and shytting in pampers, again! Life is made in the early years I see....fukk this shyt.

I don't have the energy today to get into great detail about this topic.

I will just dap those who I somewhat agree with in here, but I doubt I will agree with anyone 100%

I hate our system, and those who say that most people want to work are lying to themselves. In my case? I made the choice to be the hard worker because of my parents mistakes in the past. To me, it is a bit infuriating to see how easy some have it and it usually dates back to a grandparent or parent who made some sacrifices to make life for the later generations to enjoy an easier life. I didn't have that chance, but if I do have kids in the future...you better damn believe a house/condo or property will be left for them to be comfortable in. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, it doesn't have to be in the best city in the world. I would feel terrible about to die and know that my kids are going to have to put in anywhere from 40-60 hours a week just to keep a roof over their head.

That's the system we live in.

That's why I think it's important to do things now...as often as possible, I try to do something different...the world is huge and I'm blessed enough to be living in it, so I'm taking advantage of it.

Advances in medical science are going to allow us to live fulfilling lives for much longer.

Aside from that, you're making it sound like we're all living monotonous lives with monotonous careers that will have little to no meaning and that contribute nothing to the world's value. We aren't all like that, though. some of us opted to go into career tracks that we love. We decided to ditch our high school/college sweethearts and go the path less traveled.

That 45-50 years that you talked about in your original post? Those are the best years of your life. I like to party just as much as anyone, but what's the point after a while? What am I celebrating for? How many times can we obsess over "having fun" while we should be trying to realize a dream for ourselves?
I agree with the "allow" part. I don't know about "fulfilling". Modern science can keep a human vegetable alive in a coma forever. It's pretty sad.
I've already got a bum hip and shoulder. Thank you weight lifting. I think I'll be walking with a cane in my 60s, not a cool swagger cane :boss:. One of the orthopaedic canes with a rubber grip. :old:

Working is good for the soul and mind, I don't see a problem with holding something small down well into my elderly years if I get that far.

401k plan is a pure joke.

Let's do some simple facts, math and logic.

Facts and Logic
80,000,000 million Americans given money to Wall St(known crooks) for 20-40 years, in hopes of receiving... let's say a modest $1,000,000 dollars when they turn 65.

Math
80,000,000
x 1,000,000
-----------
80 trillion dollars.

That amount doesn't even exist, but Wall St is going to dish that kind of money out. :mjpls:

They know their not going to pay that money out, even if they had it. They selling you fools dreams.

:wtf:

do some research on 401k's

80million people w/ $1 million in 401k is not even close to reality

The median 401(k) plan held $149,400, including plans from previous jobs, according to the Center for Retirement Research.

Just 8% of households approaching retirement have the $636,673 or more in their 401(k)s that would be needed to generate $39,465 a year.

401k
to say that 401k as a retirement vehicle is a joke is quite naive

what are ur proposals for saving for retirement then:ld:

Can't be that good my breh, countries with the most wealth are also the ones where people are the most depressed.

Once you break down the numbers, the shyt actually is depressing, 24 hours to a day, average people work 8-12 hours a day 5 days a week, so let's split the difference and say 50 hours is a work week. A total of 5148 hours on average are spent at work or sleeping per year (8760 hours in a year), that leaves you with a grand total of 3612 hours to do what you want. More than half your time is being wasted, literally 10-12 years worth of time in your life will be spent @ work in a 30 year period.

Early man worked less when he had to hunt & find his food, shyt makes no sense.
