no in the sense that nas just describe the roaches behavior ad then gil scott heron tells us that we (black people are like roaches), rectification, it's not even a metaphor, it's a comparison. Kafka in the other end tells a story of a human who became a roach but still act like human. Theres a difference.


But anyway, I don't even think he was specifically targeting kafka novel in the sense that kafka could have taken others insect to prove his point. Nas choic of the roaches is crystal clear, that's a discusting animal that live in a lot of ghettos appartements and that people don't like and are in contact with (more often than rats for example)
