I knew who Missy was before she dropped The Rain and was baffled at how she was able to get a career as a songwriter writing that kiddie, ABC shyt.
This is before the 00's when that type of writing became the norm, and the industry began to cater to the No Child Left Behind generation.

At the time it was cool cause it was different, She was different. But then Da Rain dropped, think it clicked for a lot of people. That she was different. And not just different but a game changing artist. Some artist aren't nice because of the lyrical ability, but more so the complete package. As far as creativity, Missy's was and still is unmatched.
