I was talkin to my boy who's a HUGE Xbox fan. I asked him what headset he was using and he showed me the XBox1 brand head set. Its stereo, and has to be wired to the controller at all times. I showed him the sony golds and explained that they are completely wireless, you can have up to 2 of them paired at a time to the system, has chat, and audio volume, virtual surround sound, is recharged with the same cable as the controller, and is only $100 retail. He looked at me with the

and said "Yeah right you just hatin on Xbox. There's no way that headset can do all that, and even more not for $100. You HAVE to have wires at least."
After doing a bit of research online, I found out you can just buy the adapter by itself for $25 and use any headset. (Which you can do already with the PS4 controller without an adapter) I also saw that people have been using Sony golds with the Xbox1 via adapter and they say it works really well, only thing is that supposedly ANY headset plugged into the Xbox 1 controller will only be able to do audio in stereo. The only way around this would be to buy those $300 turtle beaches that have a base station that plugs into the console via optical cable.
Long story short, I guess I'll live with wires when on the Xbox1, as disappointing as it is.
