If anything, the last 6 years he's toured too much (HHID, Untitled LIG tours domestic and international, Rock the Bells every year, Damian Marley 2 year tour. Even now he's about to hit Africa next month Damian and do an Arena tour in the eary Spring). He's kinda got a situation with Guriella Union being part owner of it (The company that puts together RTB and the Paid Dues tour)

Its weird even though even though he dont sell as much, he's doing bigger venues now than in his Stillmatic/IWW days like main festival stages , Radio Must City Hall and he's finally doing his own headline sets Arenas like Wembley and the O2 in London which is pretty big since only Kanye/Jay/Rhianna/Drake and them did sets there.

You're naming minor tours though. I meant major tours. The arena tour you're mentioning is what I'm getting at. You only get those Live Nation deals if you do major tours. Wembley and O2 are recent things though, and I remember him being as surprised as I was that it worked out. The point is, I'm not quite sure yet if Wembley and O2 are a result of a lot of people not seeing Nas on such a large stage and going for the spectacle and if he can do that consistently. I'm just not sure if you give Nas that type of deal. That's all I'm getting at. Look at the grossing numbers of those tours. I don't know the numbers, and that's the thing, if it did major numbers, I figure that I would. We'll see if O2 is sold out, maybe that will give him leverage.

That's not to say he can't get a very generous deal because there's a guaranteed audience for Nas. I know I would've gone to every Nas concert if he came around my way when I was in college.

I dont know if Rock the Bells and Distant Relatives tours were minor tours though but I hear what you're saying. You gotta look Hip-Hop as a whole though and he definetly has streched himself beyond the usual club tours that are common. Especially with the festivals.
I get what you're saying though, but keep in mind those big arena tours can only be done by a few people in Hip-Hop if we really think about it. But its good that this late in his career he's getting a bigger platform to do his shows.

But at the same time, consider this: The fact that he tours a lot and does a lot of live shows is probably gonna have more incentive for a label like Live Nation to maybe even look at him, because its not just big arena legends to look at but rather artists with a fanbase enough that they are in demand for live shows. But where I think it becomes a moot point is that he already has a relationship with Gureilla Union so if anything we could see something formualted over there.

Imagine locking Nas in the studio with Kendrick Lamar and telling them to make music together . . a whole album, it would be like a triathlon for them, Nas would step it up for the rest of his life to not be outshined

At this point in Nas's career, it's probably best if he goes independent because he has his own unique base that will support him no matter what. He could make much more money going the independent route as well, and he won't have to compromise his music or worry about a "single".
