Not trying to derail your thread. But how is living over there. I lived in Okinawa 2 years but never made it to mainland

A lot of trains, a lot of walking, but otherwise it’s cool. I live in Central Japan about 4 hours south of Tokyo so it’s not as crazy as people would assume. Very laid back where I’m at. Mostly nature and hiking and the beach in the summer. Definitely boosted my Japanese ability where as in a major city you wouldn’t really need it.

Breh obviously homesick for the holiday. fukk a turkey, id be all up in a ramen house in Japan any day.

Definitely homesick auntie called me at 3am because my punkass brother said it was 10. I know the food was hitting and they were making fun of my drunk uncle.
