Basically. Nikkaz wrote off Foles last year too. Too quick to toss him in the bushes.
Not nearly the same thing. Foles in limited time showed flashes of what he was capable of. It wasn't like they gave Foles more weapons other than Ertz (Celek hasn't been shyt and Maclin's been out all year). He's made the most of what he's had (Riley Cooper looks like a functional receiver because of Foles). Most importantly, Foles isn't turning the ball over. Geno is almost AVERAGING TWO a game this season. That's Fez like with the same problems. His turnovers are self-inflicted.
Today he was wildly inaccurate by a mile. A better weapon won't solve that. A better weapon won't solve his happy feet. A better weapon won't make him more likely to throw the ball away than running out of bounds for a 5 yard loss.
A better question is what are the reasons he should have to stick around as opposed to drafting a QB next year that may be already better than him?
That said, Geno's a casualty of the stupidity that continues here. Like I said, he should have never been picked.
