DTG - direct to garment printing is the best quality. you can also do unlimited colors for the same price, as well as shading and such... it's more expensive but you can get a high quality shirt made for $15.. and they will make 1 shirt for you where others you need to order in bulk

screen printing would be second but it's expensive if you want more colors... they usually charge a setup fee, then charge you for every color you use.... so it's going to be the cheapest if you get 1 logo on your shirt with 1 color, but you need to order in bulk

vinyl printing is the worse.. consists of cutting and pressing pieces of vinyl onto your clothing... shyt looks shiny like a cutout placed on your shirt, instead of integrated into the shirt like the other two

theprintful.com is a good place for dtg

i have some designs ideas that i wanna put on some hoodies
whats the best place to get quality hoodies at a reasonable price?
is it better to get the blanks and find someone to put the design on it? or is it worth it just to get everything done at a reasonable price

you got many designs or one?

does the design have lots of colors?

is there any shading or a "picture" of something?

how many do you want to start off with?

that'll tell me the best places to start you off at

I just made an order with a company who may be able to help. Let me see how this first order goes and if all goes well I'll pass on their info.

The digital printing machine can make a t shirt in about 4 minutes. Which is good, but I can see how that can turn into several hours with big orders. Plus I have to buy the machine, the ink, stay up on maintenance, etc... I'm not tryna do all that right now. I like designing shirts not necessarily making shirts, so if i can pay a little extra and have someone else make the shirts that's ideal.

So like I told homey above I'm about to outsource 90% of this process. I found a link on the t shirt forum for fulfillment services (T-Shirt Fulfillment Services - T-Shirt Forums), which basically lets me design the shirt, then they provide the shirts, apply the design, and ship me the finished product.

Like I said I just placed an order last night so we'll see how these first shirts look.

What place did you use

alright let me break it down...

lets say you want 50 shirts... well you need multiple sizes too.. S, M, L, XL, XXL

so 50 shirts is going to be 10 of each.... for one logo

1 logo on a shirt, 3 colors... might run you $6-8 dollars a shirt for screen print.. and you are ordering in bulk so IF you have solid colors on your logo go with that

if you are doing pics... say you wanted :ohhh: on a shirt... well you can't count how many colors are in that because of shading.. you would HAVE to go with dtg printing.. those would run you $12-15 a shirt

so the next question... or decision... is what your design looks like. that will determine which process you want to go with for cost effectiveness

Do you do dtg printing?
If so, which company do you use?

yea i do because i have so many designs and they all colorful.. but i did leave out the most important thing..

dtg printing allows you (them) to cheaply make 1 shirt at a time. so i have 50 designs online and NO inventory.. when someone orders a shirt, i order one, and they ship it.. it's less profit than if i got them in bulk, but again.. with bulk you might sell out of xl and still have 35 other shirts and already have to do another bulk order.. and that's one design

anyways i use theprintful.com

nah but i've actually been thinking of transferring.. it's going to cost you $30 a month for the tools you really need

right now i'm using store envy which has most of the same things, but for free
