Those CA hippies are gonna have to make some tough decisions. A few desalination plants would fix all those drought problems but they use a ton of energy to power.

We don't need almonds.

Rain will come eventually But if not there will be a lot less people here to deal with.

The mountains are barren which is where most the water comes from.

The hoover Damm in Nevada Is also very lOw. This water issue is bigger then california.

Tome to build some rain pipelines from Seattle to California.

Start towing glaciers into california

Yup Lake Mead is dropping too. Dropped 2 feet in one day. It was after an earthquake tho

Just imagine if they put all that unused, desert to use :lupe:

High desert should be an entire fukking solar panel

But you can't replace rainfall...unless we figure a way to create rainclouds

:mjcry: Cali would need to be sitting on a power grid that would power the entire United States for that to happen. De-Salination plants need a TON of energy to heat ocean water into fresh water vapor. Even then, your talking about getting enough freshwater for a single county.

This brings me to a conversation i had with one of my homegirls... She wanted to live all the way off the grid.. We wondered to know just how legal it was to carry ocean water to solar stills and just collect fresh water that way... You can get about 1.5-2 Liters out of one on a good day.

I've always wondered just how efficient a large scale solar still could be

Its efficient, but at the same time, you would have to downscale on electronic usage; which for some is very hard to do.
