Those CA hippies are gonna have to make some tough decisions. A few desalination plants would fix all those drought problems but they use a ton of energy to power.

California isn't getting it's water from the ocean....if it was, there wouldn't be a drought in the first place....
Cali would need to be sitting on a power grid that would power the entire United States for that to happen. De-Salination plants need a TON of energy to heat ocean water into fresh water vapor. This brings me to a conversation i had with one of my homegirls... She wanted to live all the way off the grid.. We wondered to know just how legal it was to carry ocean water to solar stills and just collect fresh water that way... You can get about 1.5-2 Liters out of one on a good day.
