Song from Magna Carta randomly popped on Pandora this morning and I was like :ohhh: it's been quite some time since Jay dropped this album and no new songs in a while either. What was his last feature even, that DJ Khaled verse like 2 years ago?

I know he is chilling living that Euro Hov life, but I think a new Jay project could be dope.

Speak on it bruhs?

At this point of his career I'd be fine if Jay z never dropped another album again.
it's not like hes going to be edgy and thought provoking on his album.
theres a 98% chance hes going to be rapping about materialism over the whole album.
We've already heared that on his last three albums
You never were a jay fan

1. I'am a Jay-z fan, Is it wrong for me If I want to hear him rap about a new subject(s)?

2. He already has a big body of work (Music) if he dropped a new album today
it's not like I'm going to be missing out on anything.

3. If I want to hear Jay-z rap about the same thing over and over again I'll just listen
to his old albums.

Jay Z's key subjects has always been about stunting on nikkaz, giving nikkaz game on just life shyt, giving us a narrative of the conflicts of progresing through both games of poison(drugs/industry), etc.
That's his core subject matter and has been from jump
And he gives that on a relatively consistent basis so again if u on some "bububu im tired of materialism raps" why u a fan of jay?

Because I've matured and grown out of materialism.
and to be honest it's sad that a guy that's almost into his 50's
hasn't grown out of that subject.

Bragodociousness is a huge part of hip hop
Battle culture is about elevating yourself with your words over the next nikka
Jay comes from that
Jay's take on culture has matured though

But bottom line cant blame Jay for being consistent
Thats a U problem breh
Now back to this piff
