If you were to guess, how will it play out?

You think 20 Republicans would actually vote to remove Trump?

It's hard to see unless there's a mass retirement. Voting to impeach Trump would be basically career suicide for a Republican.
If they felt that there was a better canidate internally to run in the instance Trump did get voted out of office then yes I believe they would.

I'm sure they've already looked to within to whom will be propping up for the 2024 election anyway.

When Obama was in office I always said he was surrounded by trash in the Democratic party. Joe Fukkin Biden and old azz Bernie Sanders is our only hope :snoop:

Nothing will happen. Trump gets reelected. Then Don Jr becomes Pres. Trumps Face is put on Mt Rushmore

theres only two realistic choices, i went with trump losing rather than winning in 2020 but i cant say im confident about it, actually you know what make it 4 cause it might not get past the house but i think it will

I think Bernie or Warren beat Trump, if it's Biden, I honestly see Trump winning.

1. Base is not excited about Biden. Turnout won't be crazy
2. This Ukraine thing despite being pretty much bullshyt will hurt Biden among less involved and educated independents (E-mails 2.0)
3. Same narrative Trump used on Hillary, tired, old, sick will also hurt Biden among independents

I don’t see Trump actually being impeached. He will be a two term president. Republicans will take more seats in 2020 if the impeachment bid fails.
Even if it fails, hes not winning 2020
Unless he cheats

The problem is dems simply don't have the truth on their side. They are low life lying, conniving pieces of trash, who use the media (who are the same ethically) to bully and influence the court of public opinion into submitting to their will. . . There is a large percentage of people who see that, therefore any effort to oust Trump will always be met with fierce and warranted skepticism.

That said, I think they will impeach in the house, fail to convict in the senate and Trump narrowly loses to a dem in 2020, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Trump won either.

Impeachment will fail in the Senate and Trump will win re-election because the far left can't seem to comprehend you can't win a general election with weak moderate support...

Nothing

Trump will leave office, hide for a year, go on an apology tour with his book, which will sell out.

Trump campaign turns impeachment inquiry into fundraising bonanza

Trump's campaign and the RNC said they raised $1 million in the first three hours after Pelosi's announcement and $5 million in the ensuing 24 hours, a haul that trounces the $1 million donated by supporters on the day the Mueller report was released.

Its all about the money

So what are Republicans?

I don't understand the argument that a failure to remove Trump from office is somehow going to make him more popular?

Totally get that the Senate removing him is unlikely at this point. But it's clear that he is flippantly breaking laws. An impeachment trial that clearly lays this all out won't sway the die hard MAGA crowd but how is this going to somehow going to make him popular among the less interested independent crowd

Unless this Ukraine thing completely blows up in the Dems faces, I really don't see it. The dems should also be impeaching on everything. Don't put all the eggs in one basket.
