If the new Immigration Policy that Obama signs, the Rethugs will truly be irrelevant. The old white male voting base is damn near dead and people finally see that.

Republicans lost because they nominated an Corporate CEO when most companies are outsourcing American jobs. Most people just didn't believe Romney would actually create jobs for the middle class but instead favor only the rich.

Elections are won in the middle ground....They basically have to cut out the tea party like a cancer in order to have any hope of winning an election

Since the status quo is still in place, I don't think this election will do anything to make the Republicans question their tactics.
The midterm elections however could be a tipping point for the party if they lose the House and don't gain any Senate seats. But by the same token if they keep the House and take the Senate they will see that as a validation of their philosophy.

80% is a ridiculous number but i get your overall point. the problem is republicans had a great chance to win the senate back but they ran with candidates who kept saying stupid shyt about women and minorities. they need to kick those psychopaths out of the party and get back to a mainstream republican party from the 80s/early 90s or else they will never compete nationally anymore with these demographic shifts.

The Republicans have an institutional problem though where it is very difficult for a more moderate Repub to win in primaries in most states so either the candidates have to appear more wacked out than they really are or face losing. Which then sends some un-electable loon into the general election.

Once immigration reform passes its a fukking wrap:rip:

What makes you think Immigration Reform is going to pass? Or at least a progressive Immigration Reform?
The GOP can still filibuster in the Senate and the GOP controlled House isn't likely to do anything either.

If they don't get the Latin or partial black vote they will never win, Latinos 70 percent for Obama fastest growing minority group. Not to mention republicans alienate homosexuals, atheists etc. not to mention a Mormon candidate?

When you think of it most blacks and Latinos have a conservative mindset, try are evangelical Christians, baptists, Catholics and strictly religious yet you still can't get their vote

Us is changing demographics vastly,
Grand ol party is dead

They need to pull a Mitt Romney and completely reset. Maybe split into a moderate & far right party. I would vote for a moderate Republican over a Democrat. The far right element is a cancer to the party. They need to get chemod or cut out from the equation. W/o that they dont stand a chance
