Roc-a-fella is owned by Def Jam, Jay sold it. However since he's indie he gets different distribution for every album. So if it's UMG, he lets "roc a fella" distribute it.this may be a little off topic but since we're talking about roc, does anyone know whether or not roc nation and rocafella are the same company/label? or if one operates under another?been wondering this for a bit cause i was researching rocafellla/jayz etc but didnt wanna make a whole forum topic asking about just that.
They have a 10 year partnership, which which ends soon. They'll probably renew it though.
