I often hear Italians saying this...you could be having a convo with an Italian and just mention white people, they are very quick to tell you that they aren't white but Italian...yea, ok..I get it, especially since the government didn't even consider certain "white" groups white, until they needed their help in oppressing black folk...so yea, they're still white to me
